Dragons
Dragons are not just mythical creatures in the realm of Delv Ihoo, in fact, they are seen and treated by most wolves as Gods. Each species has their own dragon God that was responsible for their adaption to their element a long time ago. Some packs will dedicate their lives to honoring the dragons, while others will seek contact with the ancient Gods. However, over the ages, not all wolves have good intentions. Delvihen wolves have learned over time that there are different categories between dragons; Prehistoric, Ancient and Gaia dragons.
History
Dragons are believed to be amongst the oldest of creatures within the world, dating as far as prehistoric life. Delvihen wolves believe that the first dragon was one of a kind that doesn't fit into any category. This beasts was said to be the bringer of life who could travel through time and space itself. Carrying an orb that, when combined with the dragon's tears, would become a planet of life. This creature is said to be the source of elemental energy that flows through this planet. The dragon would guard this galaxy and the planets it gave life to, but the world progressed naturally on it's own, and creatures began to form and evolve. As creatures evolved, some would evolve into Dagloren (dinosaurs), who are believed to be the ancestors of all dragons. Tales tell of the great guardian protecting the planet from a meteorite. This caused the guardian's scales to become loose and fall off it's body,

sending the scales down to earth. Dagloren didn't know what to make of it, but the magical properties gave a sense of security and so dagloren would choose the scale as a nesting ground. From these eggs, the combination of the scale and new life, would give rise to the first Prehistoric dragons. These were said to be far more primal and to resemble their own kind. However unlike the species they came from, their appearance was different, as they also controlled elemental powers. After them came the Ancient dragons followed by Gaia dragons. According to Ancient dragons,
the great guardian of the planet could not guard the planet for eternity. Being the bringer of life, it would move on to restart it's own cycle. This time period caused massive changes to the climate which most creatures, and especially dagloren, could not adapt to. As a result they began to die out and new creatures eventually took their place. During this time they believe that it was Prehistoric dragons who sacrificed themselves to merge with the land to once more protect and provide life to the land, so it could stabilize. Because of this sacrifice, they were soon considered to be extinct. But as they merged with the lands, their elemental properties gave rise to more mythical beings which often acted as guardians of nature. The dragons eventually saw the rise of humanity who would worship and view them as gods and guardians. They showed respect for mythical beings and spirits. In return dragons

shared their wisdom which resulted in mankind growing beyond what dragons had ever imagined. Humans learned the history of the planet, and figured out that the world they lived on had elemental properties. They began to look for ways to control the elemental properties, and to learn more about realms, and promised their loyalty to dragons in order to achieve this knowledge and it's power. During this time, they succeeded in what was believed to be impossible. Some had become gods equal to dragons. As new gods rose, the loyalty of mankind shifted. Mankind began to hunt and slay dragons with the goal of bringing this species to extinction. Dragons felt betrayed and fought back, but despite their raw power and elemental advantage, humans had found all sorts of ways to hunt them that even they had underestimated. As time passed, dragons became extinct with only Gaia dragons (mortal dragons) remaining and hiding in secrecy along various other of mythical beings. Mankind became the dominant species of the world. But this would change when wolves, the ancestors of Delvihen wolves, would respond to the cries of a lone dragon. A female wolf with young
of her own found a baby dragon. Vulnerable and alone, she had no way of protecting herself. Where she came from is unclear. The female wolf decided to raise this dragon as her own. As this dragon grew older she became wary of the situation with mankind, and acted quickly. It is said her mighty roar summoned new dragons to the land, and an even older being was said to split the land and carry it off to the sea never to be seen by mankind again. Delvihen wolves strongly believe this was done to separate this land from mankind. The new dragons named this land "Delv Ihoo", and began to change the land and each dragon had their own respective territory. This began to affect both the creatures and the land alike. Animals became smarter, and over time gained elemental powers. Delvihen wolves learned to control the elements through their dragon gods. Eventually the dragons would name these wolves, "Delvihen wovles". Species began to form and the land adapted to the

new surge of elemental power. Unlike the humans, while intelligent, Delvihen wolves maintained primal aspects and behavior which even to this day shows that they still live a life similar to their ancestors. Most of them have even forgotten about humans or as they known them as "two-legs". It is seen as a tale to scare young pups and nothing more. Equally not all wolves are aware of the "known" history. Unlike mankind, wolves have not learned any way of documenting events for the longest of times. Most information therefore comes from dragons directly who passed the knowledge down to the wolves. Over time, wolves did learn about the "language of the gods" and found their own ways of documenting information. But because it came later in history, some wolves believe that the tales that are told might not be fully accurate anymore, as older versions speak of different gods of the realms that are mostly unknown to wolves. Some wolf societies have different versions of the tale and different beliefs on how the world came to be.
Legend known by Delvihen wolves
In the beginning, when the land was still whole and filled with various creatures, an animal known as “two-legs” was the cleverest of all. They were never satisfied, hunting us wolves to steal our very skin, bringing bloodshed and fire to craft savage devices they used to destroy the land. The two-legs drove many creatures to extinction. They even slew the dragons they once prayed to, the guardians of the land and holders of great wisdom. And so their deeds brought an end to the Age of Dragons...
But that would all change when a female wolf was drawn to the cries of a young dragon. Her scales shimmered brilliant blue and she carried a crimson emblem on her neck. Driven by maternal instinct, the wolf raised her as her own. And as time passed, wolves began to know “Seiyru” the Azure Dragon as their goddess. She became stronger and more wary of the two-legs who threatened her pack, so she released a mighty roar that summoned new dragons to take back the land. This land was carried off by an ancient being into the sea, never to be seen by two-leg eyes ever again. Over time, the Dragons’ presence began to affect the Island and the wolves themselves.
Slowly, wolves left behind their plain coats for vibrant colors and learned the elements of their Gods. Dragons began to refer to the wolves as Delvihen wolves. New species were formed, the land changed to the very whim of the Gods, and Delv Ihoo was born. Yet, no wolf had gained the element of Seiyru herself. Legend speaks of a wolf who would gain a pelt as white as snow, and would wield the element known as Azure.
