Psychic SpeciesWhile not endangered, they are quite a rare sight, as most of their kind resides in the Toreiki Mountains when not traveling. Known for their calm nature and intelligence, they are the best healers in Delv Ihoo, as many wolves will travel far for their help or healing. They are extremely eager to learn about both the past and present and are the first species to raise concerns of disappearing species of animals. Their kind is said to have a museum of sorts, located in a mountain they call “Hakugon”. It’s said fossils and more have been stored there for generations by their kind. They are best known for healing ranks.

Behaviour
Generally, psychic wolves are calm and relaxed. They are extremely eager to learn and gain more knowledge. They treasure their gems at all times and are known to restore broken pieces with matching gemstones. Their gemstone, however, is more than just decoration, they store the majority of their elemental power, and nearly all of their powers depend on it. If a gem is destroyed the wolf will die. Because of this, they will always be long range fighters to protect their gem at all times. Their two tails are said to direct psychic powers, this means that if an individual loses one of their tails, their power will be unbalanced and fail. It is said that family members will sometimes hold on to gems of those that passed as a memoir. Psychic wolves seem to naturally have an interest for healing as most will at least know the basics for healing. They are also known for gem transplants, in cases where gems are severely damaged.
|
Even so, it requires a matching and fresh gem. If a wolf has been dead for several minutes, the transplant will not work. Despite their overall neutral behavior, some of the most gruesome psychopaths have also risen from this species. Psychic wolves are considered to have unusually strong powers. Only the shadow species has an immunity against them. They generally only fear the chances of their gem being damaged. They can come off as asocial at times, as they are focused and drawn in to learn that they tend to forget about the daily troubles a pack can expect. It’s not unusual to see lone travelers or even within a pack to see psychic wolves all minding their own business. Despite this, it doesn’t mean that they don’t care. They are eager to help and heal others. Within their main habitat, strangers are welcomed but only if they enter through the given routes. If strangers decide to bypass this, they will target them and leave them unconscious outside of their territories. They enjoy silence and peace.
When communicating they often use their tails to do so, and it is believed that they even have different tail gestures due to their two tails to form shapes or movements only possible with two tails. Sometimes depending on packs, some communities have their own tail gestures that are unique from other psychic wolves. But there are a couple that are common to all psychic wolves. Aside from general tail gestures such as: a tucked tail(fear) or a wagging tail(happy) there are a couple that have different meanings.
- Tail 1: When they shape their tails as hearts it's usually to show affection, it could also be a sign that one wolves is trying to hint another that he or she might like set wolf.
- Tail 2: When they think or are in deep thought they tend to curl their tail to each side.
- Tail 3: Just like any other species that will generally lift their tail high to show aggression, psychic wolves too do this. But because they have two tails they will hold them slightly sideways to show themselves as bigger opponents.
- Tail 4: When psychic wolves court they tend to curl their tails forming one fluffy tail. When mates are together they too will sometimes hold this posture when happy. This can be if the partner brings a meal, or does something kind.
- Tail 5: The wave is something unique to psychic wolves as their two tails with have a flowing wave in a rather slow phase. This usually indicates that they are nervous and insecure.
- Tail 6: When psychic are excited about learning they tend to curl their tails up in a curly bun. Psychic wolves by nature love to learn and the excitement seems to result in this type of tail gesture.
DietTheir main diet consists of Reiushi, these are herd animals that will form a line to defend their young. Aside from this they will also hunt both birds and fish. Heart fruits are not only their favorites to consume but also to use for healing. Even if it’s just for natural resistance, they will often use herbs with their food, however their main diet remains meat. Due to their interest in preservation, they will never hunt animals of which the population is fading, and will expect the same of other species.
ReproductionPsychic wolves will usually communicate about all they learned, often the more knowledge they can offer the more a potential mate is interested. In excitement they will curl their tails up in a bun or shape a heart to show they are interested. After a bonding process, the Psychic Wolves will usually mate for life. They are sexually mature around the age of 18. It is believed they can sense which wolves make ideal and matching partners due to their gem. After mating, females will have a gestation period of 60 to 75 days before giving birth. During this time, it depends on where the female spends gestation, to what gem the pups will end up with. If a female spends gestation in to many different areas, the gem will always turn out round, same for if she leaves her natural habitat. If she spends her time in the Toreiki habitat, may it be the mountains, rivers, forests or meadows, the gem will alter. Only the blessed one by their Goddess can acquire a unique gem. Pups are born blind and deaf, and gain sight and hearing after a week. Their ears remain floppy for about a week. Their gem increases slightly as they grow.

Physical Appearance
Psychic wolves have a purple pelt with near white markings. Their fur is medium long, especially their neck fur is longer. They are quite unique, as they feature two tails which can both move individually and separately. They use them to aid directing psychic powers, and for body language. On their forehead they will always have a gemstone which is there from birth, depending on gestation the shape can be different. They have near white markings on their chest, belly, tail, face and legs. They have few gender differences, which can be found in the tail, rump fur and the cheek fur. It’s not uncommon for males and females to be the same size, as generally males aren’t bigger in this species than females. Despite the difference in colors that either gender can obtain, males can obtain all the gem colors that females can have.
- Males have long strands of fur on their neck which point downwards. They lack the longer stands of fur on their rump which females have. They also have much shorter tails. Their cheek fur partly points upwards. As for markings, they have a short muzzle mark and shorter socks than females.
- Females have long strands of fur on their neck in a wave shape. They have longer fur near the rump and very long tails. Their cheek fur points upwards and downwards. Their socks are longer and so is their muzzle markings, they also have an eye marking which males do not have.
Gemstones and paws
Gemstones are extremely important to each individual wolf, and they will maintain it and protect it during battle. The gemstone is what stores their elemental energy, even a small crack in it could cause problems for them to use their power. Wolves with damaged gemstones will replace lost parts with gemstones of the same type. It is because of the gemstone that they do have an extremely huge amount of elemental energy. Without the gem, they will die as it cuts their elemental strings that are connected to their heart. Because of this, they will always prefer ranged fights.

Psychic wolves like to refer to it as a “third eye”. Their paws have one additional cushion(pad) located in the center of their paw. With this, they can see inside the body of a wolf, and release powerful waves of healing. Because of this, they are known as the best healers, as they can quickly see where the damage is located, and how to treat it. Their gemstone color influences the color of this glow.

Abilities
Mythical abilities
- Psychic: This is their most common move and can be used in many different ways. Psychic can be used on different levels of skill. The gem on their forehead allows them to use psychic, when wolves start out it begins with easy and small objects that they'll lift and throw at hostile opponents. Of course it can be used passively as well, healers will use it as a hand so to speak to make brews and items for healing. When they get more advanced they will also be capable of using psychic on wolves and stopping them in their tracks. This is temporarily and the more willpower the opposing wolf has the faster they'll get out of this. Equally species they are weak to can easily fight it back. Shadow wolves in question being immune to it. At the highest level it is believed psychic wolves can levitate themselves, but this is known to drain nearly all of their elemental energy and most do not succeed learning it as it requires a huge amount of skill.
- Psychic Wave: This will send a beam of psychic energy directly from their gem towards the opponent. It generally does a lot of damage and if hit can cause confusion to the opponent.
- Confusion: Psychic wolves will release waves from their gem that will affect any wolf within 5 meters. When hit the opposing wolf will become disorientated. Confusion will take place and wolves will start to hallucinate. This can last for several minutes(1-5min). Confusion does have a cool down of up to 10 minutes. This move is also used to escape fights by simply confusing their opponents to then run away.
- Drain bite: This move is rarely used as it requires the psychic wolf to get up close towards their opponent. If they succeed they can drain elemental energy to refill theirs. Again shadow wolves are known to be immune to this.
- Magic pelt: This is a common move used in combat to increase their special defenses. It requires a moderate amount of elemental energy as this very energy will cover their pelt. This way in coming special attacks will do less damage.
- Psychic boost: This move similar to "magic pelt" will poost their special attack. They will store elemental energy in their gemstone until it glows brightly, moves such as psychic and psychic wave will be a lot stronger.
Abilities
- Teleportation: They use this to travel long distances. Psychic wolves seem to be unable to make short distances. For this move to work they require a mental map of the area they are familiar with, if this is mapped perfectly in their mind, they can travel. Luckily they have a handy ability known as "Mental map" that aids with this. When they teleport they can take few individuals with them, but to many could injure or even kill the travelers. Teleportation takes a couple of minutes before it works, so offensively to escape a fight for example is nearly impossible. When used they do have an hour cool down.
- Mental map: Psychic wolves are known to be born with a photographic memory, allowing them to make perfect mental maps of locations.
- Healing paws: This is an ability in which they use their central cushion on their paw to release powerful waves which have healing properties. These waves stimulate healing, and can even close wounds at a rapid pace. This ability is also known to soothe wolves as they can put wolves instantly to sleep with a touch of their front paws focused on the individuals head.
- Emphatic sense: Psychic wolves are capable of sensing how a wolf feels. Because of this they can also tell if a wolf is afraid, sad or in desperate need of help. The ability can be used in darker ways as well. Psychic wolves trained to torture could easily figure out when their target was about to break.
- Mind invasion: This allows them to invade the mind of their target, allowing them to listen in on "deep telepathy". Unlike ghost wolves they do not require eye contact for this, different from them it drains a lot more of their elemental energy. In a sense it did allow psychic and ghost wolves to communicate in deep telepathy if they would have wanted to.
- Sleep pulse: Known They will release waves from their gemstone which can force their target to feel drowsy and fall asleep. The success rate of this move isn't always guaranteed as the waves send out are known to be weak signals.
- Heal pulse: This ability allows them to release elemental pulses which will give a small healing boosts to allies nearby.
Mythical abilities
- Trance Rage: This mythical ability requires absolute skill and a huge amount of elemental energy. Not many have been known to master it in history. They will release extremely powerful waves of elemental energy from their gemstone. These waves will affect any wolf within 10 meter to go into a rage. During this rage like trance the psychic wolf can redirect their aggression towards their opponent. This means that they can also turn wolves against one another. This control can last up to an hour. If not given a command the creatures affected will simply stand in a trance without moving until the effect is gone.
HabitatPsychic wolves originate from the Toreiki mountains, this is clearly visible due to the unusual coloration of their habitat which is caused by the dragon Goddess. Psychic wolves are rare to be found, as most will only venture out for the reason of gathering herbs and resources. Aside from their usual habitat, they can be found in deep forests or river areas. They especially are fond of the “Shroom forest” as it contains many mushrooms with all sorts of properties and benefits. The majority of their kind will always prefer their natural habitat though as they can blend in well there.
