Powers and Abilities
Delvihen wolves are blessed with elemental powers. While they originate from the gray wolf, they have evolved into something unique. Dragons would name them “Delvihen wolves” as the term “Delvihen” was used to describe a dragon wolf. Each element has their own set of powers and abilities.

Each and every species has its own set of common moves. For these, you will have to visit the species pages to learn about them:
=> Forester, Fire, Water, Electric, Earth, Ice, Sand, Metal, Wind, Mud, Spirit, Swamp, Poison, Shadow, Light, Cosmic, Chaos, Ghost, Psychic.

Common elemental moves
While each species has their own set of common moves, each and every species has their own elemental moves. These are moves that function by saving up elemental energy. Elemental energy flows throughout the body and each species uses it in different ways. Electric wolves will store electricity over their whole body to use their power, while fire wolves will focus their energy in their mouth to spit fire. Additionally, each species is capable of utilizing a few sets of moves using the same principles of charging elemental energy.
- Power Tail: The wolf will store elemental energy in their tail. The tail itself will glow a different color depending on the species. (Electric = yellow). The longer they charge it, the brighter it will glow. When aiming and releasing, Power Tail can send a wolf flying.
- Power Fang: Similar to Power Tail, they will store energy in their fangs. They cannot charge it for too long or they risk damaging their own teeth. But when charged, they will have a stronger bite force.
- Energy Ball: Rather than using a full blown move like fire or water, the wolf will focus and store energy in their mouth until a small ball of energy takes shape. The longer they charge it, the bigger it becomes. Once they feel that the ball is ready, they will send it towards an opponent. Wolves have to be careful using this, as unlike spitting fire, for instance, which they can stop directly, would their mouth be closed by force (for example, with a vine from a Forester Wolf) the results can be extremely damaging.
- Power Claw: Historically, wolves are not known to use their paws/nails as a weapon. But Delvihen Wolves have changed that. By storing elemental energy in their paws, they can not only kick themselves into a stronger sprint, but their paws can also cause a lot more damage.
Traditional combat
Aside from the elemental move set, wolves will still use traditional combat as well. These are attacks their ancestors used in combat. These are accessible to all species as each and every species can bite, tackle down opponents and so on. In many cases it is often favored, as sometimes wolves will store up elemental energy as they fight. Wolves usually only resort to elemental power if the fight turns lethal or is a matter of life and death. Aside from that, wolves are careful on how they use their elemental energy, because if they become tired from expending too much elemental energy they will be too tired to fight traditionally. Elemental energy does cost their body’s energy as well, so wolves have to be cautious.
Some wolves will never prefer physical combat unless the situation favors them. Shadow Wolves, for instance, will usually keep a distance and only bite if the circumstances favor them. This is seen more in species with lower defenses. |
Ability types
Every species has its own set of abilities. These abilities can be mastered with some being more difficult than others. But there are ability types which are currently divided into 4 different groups.
Standard Abilities: Standard abilities are those that come naturally to the species itself. This means that, for instance, “Water Boost” for a Forester Wolf is accessible to all Forester Wolves. Some abilities are known to be accessible for all but harder to master than others.
Mythical Abilities: Mythical abilities were believed to be taught from dragon to wolf, and therefore are abilities that are extremely rare and, in most cases, cannot be mastered. However, some family lines are known to master these abilities and will pass them down to their offspring in order to teach them how to awaken a specific ability of this class. This does make it a non-genetic ability, meaning a wolf can master it as long as they are of the species. But most wolves never succeed in mastering it. They are considered mythical rather than unique as the ability is of the species itself, but simply very rare to come across.
Divine Abilities: These abilities are considered both unique and god-like. Wolves are rarely born with these abilities and, in most cases, are either glorified or feared. These type of abilities are equally extremely unusual and powerful. They are viewed in two separate categories: “Cursed abilities” and “Blessed abilities”. Cursed wolves have been known to be killed by their own pack out of fear of the wolf. Cursed abilities are extremely dark in nature and, in many instances, an elder of the pack would advise the wolf in question to never use their power or to be silent about it. A blessed ability is usually good in nature, meaning that the ability might have benevolent god-like properties.
Unique Abilities: Unique abilities, as the name suggests, are unique and bound to the wolf. These abilities can be affected by symbolism, as symbolism could alter the coloration of their moves or even form the shape of an attack. These abilities come in all sorts of varieties that feel almost endless. They can be quite powerful but they are not nearly as strong as “Divine Abilities”. It is also possible, in some cases, for a child to inherit this ability from their parent.

- Example of a Cursed ability that will be featured in AHR: Inner manipulation allows for a Psychic Wolf to control the insides of a wolf rather than just the outside. This allows for breaking bones internally or damaging the inners of a wolf.
- Example of a Blessed ability that will be featured in AHR: A Shadow Wolf that can shape-shift into different creatures they have a clear vision of.
