Rodentia
Delv Ihoo consist of many rodent like creatures. These are vital for many reasons. Not only do they serve their own purpose but some will kill various harmful insects, and others will accidentally spread seeds to cause more growth in the forests. Equally they are a huge prey source for many predatory animals on Delv Ihoo and in most cases the first creatures young pups will hunt. While extremely helpful, some have proven to be the opposite with exploding populations and therefore are specifically hunted down. Wolves are wary as they want to avoid the individuals who spread harmful diseases. But in the end they are considered a vital part of this island.
Creature:Mountainhog / Class:Mammal / Power:None / Diet:Omnivore / Family:Sciuridae / Lifespan:1-6 / Status:Common
These rodents live in small colony together as they make complex underground systems to live in. They make a tasty meal to most Delvihen wolves and therefore they are always cautious. When foraging for nuts, herbs and insects one will always stand on guard. They do this by standing on a higher rock or ledge on their backfeet and scouting the area. If danger is spotted they'll release a cry, as that happens they will retreat underground as digging them out is no option due to the many tunnels. Wolves will always grab them on the front as a bite on the back can result in a nasty bite. Pups do have to be careful, as it has occurred that pups fell into a pit and so got targeted and killed by these rodents.

Creature:Snow Hog / Class:Mammal / Power:None / Diet:Herbivore / Family:Heterocephalidae / Lifespan:1-5 / Status:Common
The snowhog is a small creature that can be found in the Ice lands alone. It's generally not hunted down by ice wolves as they are so small that they barley fill up an adult wolf. If hunted it's generally for pups. Even so, some ice wolves have gained nasty scratches from them. To hide from predators they will dig their lower part of their body under snow and fool the predator by blending in the snow with their top pelt. They generally make complex ice tunnels in which they live. A hairless defect can sometimes be found in them, most of those will never make it to 1 year old. As they rely on the warmth of fellow snow hogs or shed pelt. Sometimes they will be killed at birth by the parent.

Creature:Gerbio / Class:Mammal / Power:None / Diet:Omnivore / Family:Muridae / Lifespan:1-3 / Status:Common
Gerbio's are small and nimble creatures that live at Metal Valley. Due to their size they are generally left alone by metal wolves as they are not worth the effort to hunt due to how little meat they provide. Even so young metal wolves do hunt them but only to practice their skill. They live in complex tunnel systems as a colony of mixed genders. They are usually active at dawn and dusk. They will forage for seeds, nuts and insects. Colony wars between two groups of gerbio's have occurred as they are extremely hostile to other gerbio's that aren't part of their colony. When they are outside of their tunnel system, one individual will usually stand on it's backlegs to keep guard as the others get to work.

Creature:Chipa / Class:Mammal / Power:None / Diet:Omnivore / Family:Muridae / Lifespan:1-6 / Status:Common
Chipa's are known for their agility and cleverness. Due to their size they are never hunted down by wolves, as only pups would attempt to chase them to no avail. But this is something they realized over time. Because of this they will generally forage for nuts, seeds or insects if wolves are out in the open and hunting. After all predatory birds or smaller predatory animals tend to stay away if wolves are out on the field. It's believed that some chipa's felt so comfortable that they even followed wolf groups which eventually caused their species to spread out and so find a way to many different areas of Delv Ihoo. Some wolf species have been known to allow these little guys to even crawl on top of them, as they will seek

out parasites such as thick's or fleas to consume them. After all these insects too are larger than their ancestors and so make a good meal for a chipa. Because of how useful they are, wolves will generally not bother them. They live in medium sized colonies, pair bonding does not take places as changing partners isn't out of the ordinary. Chipa's are among the few creatures that does not fear Delvihen wolves. Chipa's are known to have a rare golden variant. It is said that wolves see such a chipa as a good luck charm, and will even try to turn it into a companion.

Creature:Lake rat / Class:Mammal / Power:None / Diet:Omnivore / Family:Myocastoridae / Lifespan:1-25 / Status:Common
Lake rats are native to the Spirit lands, and spend the majority of their life in rivers and lakes. On early mornings they can be found seeking fresh lake weeds to consume, or wander to land to forage for all sorts of edible things such as insects and nuts. They are loved by wolves, as their meat is said to be quite soft. Due to how fatty they are, they too are used to help underweight wolves gain weight. They are rather large and while generally passive, pups should not be left unattended around them. As omnivores they are opportunistic and have been known to kill young wolf pups. Compared to a small pup they are large after all. They live in medium sized colonies and will build woody structures near water or in water to live in. They spend a lot of time grooming themselves and one another.

Creature:Tanver / Class:Mammal / Power:Elemental / Diet:Omnivore / Family:Castoridae / Lifespan:1-15 / Status:Common
A common and docile creature, Tanvers are known to live around Tanlin falls. They build medium sized dams in which they live with their family or group. To warn fellow Tanvers they will slap their tails in the water to give a signal that a potential predator is nearby. Light wolves are known to hunt them as these beavers have very fatty meat, because of this they will generally flee from adult light wolves. If corned they aren't completely defenseless, their sharp teeth are known to go through bones, and many light wolves have found themselves forced to abandon the hunt due to being bit. If killed, it is said a small portion is enough to satisfy an adult wolf. When it comes to outsiders they are more capable of defending themselves, as they have inherited elemental energy. They can store this up into their teeth and tail, which allows them to deal powerful blows towards their enemy. Despite being a favored prey, they are not known to behave hostile to wolves unless they are threatened. Even young pups can generally pass by, as they will not chase or attempt to kill it.
