Rabbits and hares
Delv Ihoo is known for it's wide variety of rabbits and hares. They too can be found on many places on the island. Similar to Delvihen wolves, they too went through evolutionary changes in order to survive. Why the vast majority is not considered elemental, they have developed evolutionary traits in order to improve their odds of survival. Compared to their ancestors they are much larger but maintain high speed and agility. Like most beings on Delv Ihoo they have grown far more intelligent than their ancestors and therefore can be seen observing wolves and their patterns to alter their own. Delvihen wolves believe there is at least one rabbit or hare that represents one of the wolf species found on Delv Ihoo.
Creature:Forest rabbit / Class:Mammal / Power:None / Diet:Herbivore / Family:Leporidae / Lifespan:1-5 / Status:Common
Fores rabbits are a common prey to Delvihen wolves whom have spread nearly over half the entire Island of Delv Ihoo. Their origin lies in the Forester woods, but it didn't take long for their kind to spread all over the Island. They are known for their soft and tender meat. Females are hunted most of the time as males are known to be extremely feisty and it wouldn't be the first time one managed to blind a wolf with it's tiny claws. Males tend to point their ears towards one another to seem more intimidating. If a group is present, males too will protect the herd. Their eye color ranges between green and yellow, this only differs for the mutations.

Creature:Mountain rabbit / Class:Mammal / Power:None / Diet:Herbivore / Family:Leporidae / Lifespan:1-5 / Status:Common
Mountain rabbits are the most common prey to Delvihen wolves, even so they aren't exactly easy to catch. They are known to live in large colonies with complex and deep tunnel systems. When foraging others will stand watch and stamp their feet on the ground the warn for incoming danger. They will always attempt to flee upon the sight of danger. Their species succes shows as they are widespread over Delv Ihoo even inhabiting less mountain like terrain as well. Their pelt is really thick which allows them to stay nice and warm when deep underground. Unlike the forest rabbit no known pelt variation other than rare mutations is seen on their species. Their eyes come in different shades of yellow.

Creature:Snow hare / Class:Mammal / Power:None / Diet:Herbivore / Family:Leporidae / Lifespan:1-7 / Status:Common
Snow hares are a staple of the ice wolf it's diet. Even so ice wolves are known to favor the floe deer in most cases. This is because snow hares are incredibly fast. Ice wolves have a lot of endurance but most often these hares will out manoever them or sprint to the nearest den. Because of this ice wolves will sometimes not even bother to hunt them. Overtime it led to an increased lifespan for snow hares. They live solitary and will only come together if a male and female seeks to breed. When this happens it can occur that more males respond to the call of the female and will fight with one another in order to win the female over. They have a thick pelt that protects them from the cold. Even if they aren't always easy to hunt, their meat is said to be delicious and so wolves of different lands will trade quite some things for a snow hare.

Creature:Desert hare / Class:Mammal / Power:None / Diet:Insectivore / Family:Leporidae / Lifespan:1-5 / Status:Common
Desert hares are known to be rather aggressive, especially the males. They live in colonies and it isn't unusual for a male to charge after a sand wolf that hunts one of it's fellow colony mates. Males are extremely protective of females and have died before, by launching themselves at sand wolves in attempt to protect them. Desert hares have caused loss of eyes on sand wolves due to their sharp teeth and nails. They are very active during the day looking for insects to consume, they have a fierce rivalry with "jackalope" as this rabbit has been known to drive desert rabbits to extinction. Therefore bloody fights can break out as desert hares will target them in group in attempt to kill them.

Creature:Desert jackalope / Class:Mammal / Power:None / Diet:Omnivore / Family:Leporidae / Lifespan:1-5 / Status:Rare
Having adapted from the normal desert rabbits, the "jackalopes" are rare and often collected for their pelts and horns. Their horns resemble desert trees and can differ from one individual to another. Their meat is tough and unpleasant to eat for most wolves as it tastes fowl and dry. They are hostile creatures as they are known to have hunted the desert rabbit to extinction. They have a fierce rivalry with the desert hare. Since rabbits went extinct, desert hares became their new favorite choice of meat, but these hares are far more aggressive then the once gentle and docile desert rabbit. Wolves tend to kill them on sight not just for the horns, but equally because they have been known to target young sand wolf pups. There are two known variations this being the desert jackalope and it's variation the "light pelt". They live in small sized colonies. Females are bigger than males and have been known to kill males if they deem them unworthy or fragile. During a breeding season males will attempt to kill rivals, if the losing male escaped with it's live, the female will kill it.

Creature:Metal rabbit / Class:Mammal / Power:None / Diet:Omnivore / Family:Leporidae / Lifespan:1-9 / Status:Common
These rabbits are native to "Metal Valley". They are a common prey which Delvihen metal wolves will hunt. They live in small mixed groups that exists of both genders. They do not pair bond and therefore will swap partners quite often. Males are generally tasked to watch the kits as females go out to forage for food. Similar to the metal wolves, they have sharp claw like front and back feet which helps them dig for insects and tasty grubs. The reason females go out to forage is due to the unique additional pelt they feature which layers in the neck and above their tail. The fur is extremely lose there. When a predator manages to grab these bits, it will detach confusing the attacker and giving the rabbit a chance to escape. Their dens consists of many tunnels seeing metal wolves have been known to dig them out.

Creature:Burrow rabbit / Class:Mammal / Power:None / Diet:Herbivore / Family:Leporidae / Lifespan:1-5 / Status:Common
Native to Hayyo mountains, the burrow rabbit makes complex tunnel systems near the lowest end of a mountain. They have not been seen climbing higher or making their homes up there. It's believed to be a strategy against wind wolves whom long ago migrated to these lands. By staying near their dens and as low as possible to the ground wind wolves will have a harder time hunting them. They lives in large colonies with mixed genders, and will forage for plants and herbs while one keeps guard. When attacked they will all split up in order to confuse the enemy. They are also known for jumping randomly if they sense a wind wolf is to close, giving them a slight chance to dodge the incoming wolf.

Creature:Wind rabbit / Class:Mammal / Power:Elemental / Diet:Herbivore / Family:Leporidae / Lifespan:1-20 / Status:Rare
Wind rabbit originated from "Karashi Isle", but since have spread to various other locations. They are considered among the more unusual looking animals, and for a long time wolves did wonder if they were mythical. But similar to the jackalopes(variations) they do not have a long lifespan. While considered rare, mythical creatures are considered difficult to encounter and are known to reach old ages. Seeing some other rabbits too represented a species they were eventually not considered mythical. But a lot of debates have risen between wind wolves when it comes to this peculiar rabbit. Swiftwings claim that the rabbit represents them, as their variation formed completely on Karashi Isle, believing their

variation is of more importance. But the other variations argue that the rabbit other than it's colors, shows no similarity at all with the markings. Equally swiftwings do not have a bright white pelt. Some of the other variations argued a lot of the markings can be found on the different variations. And aside from that any eye color present in all variations of the wind species can be found to appear on the rabbits as well. Even till this day wind wolves argue about this rabbit. Psychic wolves believe that the rabbit itself color wise represented swiftwings because they migrated later than the original wind wolves back in the old times. The rabbits themselves can fly by using their ears, they have elemental energy which is what allows them to fly and keep their body in the sky. Even so they cannot fly fast, and will always observe the skies before taking flight. Unlike most rabbits, they do not live in colonies and if they find a partner they bond for life. They are known to live at the highest peaks of mountains and only east fresh and moist moss that grows between the rocks. It's been observed that if they are found away from mountains, that they are skinny and seem to not eat any other plant material, meaning their diet completely exists out of a specific moss found on mountains. Females have antennas with small orbs which can light up. They will enter small and narrow gaps in mountains to seek for moss. Lighting up the area allows them to avoid potential predators that might lurk here such as snakes. Because males lack this light they are not so keen on entering these. At the black markings wolves will often trade a lot just to taste this rabbit.

Creature:Fog hare / Class:Mammal / Power:None / Diet:Herbivore / Family:Leporidae / Lifespan:1-10 / Status:Rare
Fog hares are a rare species of hare that can only be found in the Spirit lands. They are considered rare due to several factors. Unlike many other species of rabbit and hare, they reproduce slow. Aside from that they can only be found in these lands if a heavy fog is present. They are so fast and nimble that most wolves will not be capable of spotting them without fog before they spot wolves. Because of this the fog is actually the only reason wolves seem to be capable of catching them. They live solitary lives and only come together to raise kits. They are extremely alert and will flee upon spotting a potential threat. Their eye sight is extremely good and in many cases they rely on that over hearing.

Creature:Shadow rabbit / Class:Mammal / Power:Elemental / Diet:Herbivore / Family:Leporidae / Lifespan:1-6 / Status:Common
Shadow rabbits are native to Ombrai Valley. They are known to be extremely fast and agile, aside from that they are said to be so clever that some hunter will simply give up. They have spread on their own accord to nearby locations that offer hiding spots. But it is believed that a long time ago shadow rabbit have been released by shadow wolves in Dyelaa Forest causing them to spread to nearby forests over there. They are considered to have elemental powers, in a last line of defense they will use their sharp claws to scratch the attacker as their elemental energy will enlarge their nails allowing them to cause deep cuts. Other than that if they move at max speed a shadow like trail can be faintly seen. They live in

pairs and do pairbond. Only if a partner dies will they seek for another mate. They raise kits together and overall are very loving rabbits towards one another. Similar to shadow wolves they do enjoy sunbathing, but have to be cautious as this will leave them off guard and so make them an easier meal for a hunter. They have long bushy tails and often are referred to as the wolves among the rabbits. Due to how clever they are they do tend to push their luck if they outsmart a wolf, by returning to the hunter simply to mock them, they are not shy to hide a victory even if that could turn against them. It has been observed that young shadow rabbits whom stumble upon lost shadow pups tend to play with them in a friendly matter.
